This is adventurous eating in Pre-k!!!!!  Just wanted to share the great news!  (The rule is you have to try a food to be in a club, you don't have to continue eating it if you don't like it.  Most of the time the Unicorns continued eating!)

Books We Read
Sylvester and the Magic Pebble
Strega Nona
When Everyone Wore a Hat (autobiography of William Steig)
The Littlest Wolf *** by Larry Brimner (I highly recommend this book to parents too!  The Unicorns LOVED it, but I think it's great for parents to read and reflect on how the big wolf treats the littlest wolf!)
That's Good, That's Bad
I Will Never , Not Ever, Eat a Tomato
Ms. Rumphius
How Pizza Came to Queens
alphabet rescue
Milo's Hat Trick
Charlotte's Web

Songs we Sang
"Robin in the Rain"
"Let's Make a Garden"
"Under the Rainbow"

To Note:    We started the conversation about Kindergarten.  It was  anxiety producing for many of the Unicorns.  Thus begins the transitions from Pre-K to K.  It is a process.  We will do many things to help ease the transition to K.  This is what we did this week:
1.  We listed what we knew about Kindergarten.
2.  We watched the 1st 3 segments of a wonderful series of videos on Kindergarten called "Kindergarten"  by HBO family.  There are 3 more videos with 3 segments on each one.  The 1st video prompted a rich conversation about the similarities of Kindergarten to Pre-K  (A big thank you to Emily, who lent this series to us).
3.   We interviewed two kindergarteners.
4.    We wrote the bear fairies to find out when we can take our teddy bears home!!!!!!

Looking Ahead!
